What is a Health Innovation Sprint?

It’s creative group problem-solving within a compact timeframe. Teams rapidly develop and evaluate new product or service concepts, ensuring they are built on a foundation of expert guidance.

Core Goal: To inspire and build a development community around new ideas that can fundamentally impact healthcare.
Suitable Focus Areas: Medical Devices, Equipment, Diagnostics, and Digital Health Technologies.
The Outcome: A strong, expert-validated business concept and a clear roadmap for progression.

Throughout 2026 we ran three high-impact Health Innovation Sprints across Norwich, London and Cambridge, bringing NHS innovators together with a multidisciplinary team of experts to turn promising concepts into investor-ready business propositions.

Norwich – 29th January 2026

Venue: The Quadram Institute, Rosalind Franklin Road, Norwich Research Park, Norwich NR4 7UQ

Innovators from the University of Cambridge took the top prize, with a non-invasive wearable biofeedback system for pelvic floor rehabilitation — securing an eg technology Innovation Voucher to help take their concept towards real-world implementation.
