Gabriela is a Health Economist, with over a decade of experience spanning consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, and the NHS. Her expertise lies in real-world evidence, health technology assessment (HTA), and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
“For the past 12 years, I have worked as a health economist; if you remove the word “health,” it will be 14 years that I have thought about numbers/data and their implications daily. I am extremely enthusiastic about my area and committed to helping stakeholders understand the value of positioning a new treatment or health intervention that will help to overcome the difficulties of living with a debilitating condition or disease prevention.”
Gabriela’s career has focused on outcomes research and health technology evaluation (HTA), where she has led key projects and developed a strong grasp of both methodology and the practical links between HTA and outcomes research. She has successfully led NICE and SMC submissions for clients and recently served as Lead Health Economist in an NHS Health Economics Unit.
She holds a Masters of Science (MSc) in Health Economics, Policy and Law from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands and a degree in Economics from Universitat de Barcelona.
